Meredith Salenger

Salenger was born and raised within Malibu, California. Salenger was a performer in the presence of her parents and close friends when she was a child. When she was just eight she was taken by her mother to her very first acting class. In the film directed by John Huston Annie She played an unimportant role, in which she was identified as being a "singing and dance orphan". Salenger was featured in several TV commercials. Salenger had her first leading part as a lead actress in The Journey of Natty Gann which was an iconic Disney movie starring John Cusack with Ray Wise. It was the very first US film to win the Gold Award at the Moscow Film Festival. Additionally, she was awarded "Best Female Actress in a drama" at the Youth in Film Awards in appreciation of her performance as the tomboyish Natty. After appearing in four other films by the time she was just 18 and also in A Night in the Life of Jimmy Reardon, she left Hollywood for Harvard to continue her education. Meredith Meredith Meredith
